On this page, you find the applications section to the 64 Attack Method Penetrating Palm form. I hope that through watching the applications, you gain a better understanding of the form itself and Yin Style Bagua martial arts in general.

Years ago, I began to to see th martial side of Yin Style Bagua not as 8 different animal systems to be learned separately, but as one system of 64 different attack methods to be seen as a whole. I began linking all the strikes together into one Penetrating Palm form as my warm up each morning – moving through each trigram's 8 strikes to limber up the body and the mind, a connection to the physical and internal Qi of each animal system.

The more I practiced and shifted through the different trigrams as a whole, the more it began to take over my practice. I began seeing the different trigrams in relation to each other instead of as separate animals. The result is 64 Attack Method form and thus the applications featured here. It is meant more to awaken practitioners to possibilities than to demonstrate specific techniques or fixed practices. I hope you find it as useful in your own practice of Yin Style Bagua. Enjoy!
