Where to Learn Yin Style Bagua

Training with He Jinbao

Today, only He Jinbao has regular classes in Beijing. When he is not traveling, his classes are on Sunday afternoons. They are geared for the Chinese and foreigners living in Beijing and are taught in the traditional style of students coming to a single location but practicing on their own. He Jinbao then comes around and gives corrections and personal instruction to each student during the course of the afternoon. There is no translation officially available for non Chinese speakers. Each year, usually in April, He Jinbao also runs a training intensive of 10-14 days. Training with Liu Shichang

While Liu Shichang officially does not receive visitors or directly teach students he does not know, he does occasionally accept interviews and visits if introduced by He Jinbao or Andrew Nugent-Head.

Training with Andrew Nugent-Head

After 25 years, Andrew Nugent-Head finally left Beijing for the tea hills of Hangzhou. Currently, he only accepts short term visiting students and prefers those who are also practitioners of Chinese medicine. In July 2012, Andrew will be teaching Chinese Medicine every two months in New York City. He will also be making time to teach martial and Daoyin aspects of Yin Style Bagua during each visit. Training in the West

There are active study groups focused on He Jinbao’s training methods in both the Europe and the United States. You can find their contact information listed at his website, www.yinstylebaguazhang.com He Jinbao also travels to Europe each June and to the United States each Fall. If you have never had the opportunity to train with him in person, meeting and working with He Jinbao is a must for serious Yin Style Bagua practitioners.
