There is no better gift to the traditional practitioners we work with than buying their recorded knowledge, practicing their arts, and then passing it on to the next generation.
But for that to happen, their knowledge needs to be documented. That is why ATS exists, it is what we do. We find the last traditional practitioners and lineages, develop close, trusting relationships with them, and then help them organize and record their knowledge in book and video format. ATS then disseminates their educational materials and ensures they earn a royalty on every product sold. It is our mission. Since 1994, we have generated over $200,000 in royalties and honorariums for them.
This work costs money. Video cameras and recording equipment, computers for editing, persons to be behind those cameras and in front of those computers making sure it all happens. We run one of the most cost efficient and lean non profits in existence, but accomplishing this work still does require your help. While we do receive a small amount of grant money from foundations, our primary source of contributed income is you, the private individual who cares about our work, who reaps the benefits of the materials we produce.
It doesn’t matter how much or little of a donation you make–every bit adds up to keeping ATS documenting and producing material from the incredible humans we work with. Please consider helping with a gift of money, services, or equipment.
