The Olympics have brought a spotlight on China, and our unique work has been drawing media attention.
In May, Germany’s ZDF released a two part documentary on China’s Treasures, which featured ATS documenting 85 year old doctor Li Hongxiang.
ATS has also been approached by NPR’s Beijing office for an interview on what makes the traditional practice of Chinese medicine different from the acupuncture and Chinese herb use commonly seen today.
Our Work In China
The last traditional practitioners who were educated before 1949 are in their final years, and our mission is document their rich experience and teachings before it dies with them. Their depth of knowledge in Chinese medicine, martial and cultural arts has simply not been fully passed on to the next generation and must be preserved now.
Our current focus is on Chinese medicine, creating hours of recorded material each week with the practitioners we document. Our store features videos of our work over the last 15 years. Our site also features useful information on the traditional arts.
The greatest race for ATS is against time. Our window to record this knowledge is closing fast. Without your financial donations, volunteer work and pro bono services, we wouldn’t be able to continue our mission.
Your donations are tax deductible and are important to our success. To support our work and make a donation, click here.
