48 CEU 4 Module In Person Herb Tasting, Training & Discussion

Participants will work directly with plants, looking, touching, smelling, brewing, tasting and discussing over 100 Chinese medicinal herbs. Discussion will utilize classical Chinese concepts such as flavor and nature, yin and yang qualities and inherent potency to understand the clinical application of single herbs and their combination in formulas. Most importantly, herbs will be understood through comparing and contrasting and direct experience.

While not required, participants are urged to enroll in and complete the Classical Herbalist Online herbal course. This four-part in-person workshop brings to life the material from the Classical Herbalist online training program, providing a hands-on component critical to becoming a confident and effective herbalist.

Whether you have been with us for years and are looking to get corrections and feedback; have taken training courses with us and want to solidify the skills you have already learned; or have been learning online and now ready to begin training in person, summits are the place to be. Morning sessions focus on acupuncture training to safely yet effectively needle challenging parts of the body; afternoon sessions involve a deep dive into treating specific conditions, covering theory, strategy, acupuncture and herbal protocols, and, of course, partnered practice.
Why are Summits the most important course to take? At Summits, you will meet senior practitioners who have successfully integrated Tangible Acupuncture into their practices and network with colleagues as eager as you to return this medicine to a clinically focused, results based practice like it used to be. Come train, practice, learn and spend time with the growing community of practitioners seeking a more tangible level of practice for their patients.

There is simply no way to achieve the results of our medical ancestors in the clinic without clear knowledge on how to use a needle to warm a patient, cool a patient, gather, spread, raise, lower or move Qi through the body tangibly, effectively, repeatedly and reliably. I have no idea why schools don't teach or even know these classic needling techniques, but here are the nine most essential ones all in one weekend. This is a practice intensive class, so come prepared to needle and be needled–Andrew Nugent-Head

5 Module Course starting January 26th in Hamburg
with Andrew Nugent-Head

The greatest force in healing is touch. The ancient Chinese realized this, using medical theory and clinical experience to develop touch into the highest healing art within the feld of Chinese medicine. The usefulness of a sword depends on the warrior’s handskill; the effcacy of a needle depends on the practitioner’s skill of touch. To treat internal diseases or external injuries without deeply training the hands is to be overly optimistic of ones clinical results. This fve module training program provides the same bodywork foundation that Andrew Nugent-Head learned in China, set sequentially in the way he learned over his years training there. It is, in his opinion, the most important piece of practicing tangible, effective and reliable medicine.

5 Module Training Course starting October 13th,  2023, ABZ Mitte, Frankfurt
with Andrew Nugent-Head

This 5 Module program focuses on the fast and successful treatment of physical injuries through acupuncture and bodywork. Whether it be from sports, trauma or the process of aging, shoulder, back, neck and joint problems are usually the most common problems an acupuncturist sees today. Drawing extensively from his years working with Dr. Xie Peiqi to treat trauma in the old and young, Andrew Nugent-Head lays out the theories, needling techniques, bodywork and protocols to create dramatic results in just a few treatments. As with all ATS intensive training programs, the focus of this program is to remove any ambiguity of the efficacy of treatment, allowing patient and practitioner to judge improvement session to session.
