We noticed the profiles revealed quite a bit about experience and areas of practice, but not always the things a client actually needs. What can you realistically learn about a lawyer from LinkedIn beforehand?

A friend recently checked LinkedIn before choosing a lawyer, and it helped us understand their background, practice areas, publications, and professional interests. It also showed whether they shared useful updates or stayed active in the field. Still, LinkedIn can’t confirm how someone communicates with clients, handles pressure, or fits a specific case, so we treated it as a first screening step not proof of quality.
