My friend keeps relapsing

My roommate has been to regular sober living twice but he relapsed both times. Now he is looking at Christian houses and he says he wants God in his recovery. I read somewhere that these places have better success but I need proof to convince him it is not just a feeling. Any articles on why Christian homes have lower relapse rates so we can see what makes them different?

A friend of mine bounced between a few regular sober living places and always ended up relapsing after a couple months. What changed for him in a Christian house was the daily routine and having people around who cared about both recovery and faith. He said it stopped feeling like he was fighting alone. I found this article useful because it explains the structure, accountability, and community side instead of just making promises: Christian-based sober living vs secular sober living homes  might help your roommate look at it more seriously.
